Back To Mods Section Engine Swaps / TurbosUnfortunately, not a lot of info on engine swaps or turbos. It's a more common question people ask so I decided to put all the info, options, and resources I had here. 1. DesignOneSystems.com - (Don't bother visiting the site, you won't find any beretta related info..) Anyway the turbo they offer is ONLY for 1988 2.8 5 speeds. Offhand I don't have any prices, but I assume it would be a couple grand. 2. Top-Tech - Turbos for the 2.8/3.1 engines. See www.beretta.net for specifics and contact info. (It's under the FAQ section, question #29.) 3. RaceTech - 3800SC engine swap. See www.beretta.net for specifics and contact info. (It's under the FAQ section, question #12.) 4. Someone with an 88 2.8 GTU 5 speed has custom fitted a turbo from a Grand Prix STE. That turbo was offered in 1990 on the STE and is very rare. The same turbo was also put onto TGP's and is also pretty rare. 5. Whether or not it's been done, there has been a lot of talk about putting the 2.0 turbo engine from a Sunbird into the current 2.0l/2.2l berettas. 6. There has also been a lot of talk of swapping in a pushrod 3.4 motor so that's something to think about. As you see there's a couple options available. There's tons of other things you can do, it just depends on how much money your willing to spend as a lot of custom work will need to be done.
